ARCHITECTS: Donald A. Wexler, Francisco J. Urrutia, and Ken Kendall

One Hawkeye Park consists of five individual office buildings and one carport spanning the entire length of all five buildings. The office park was built for Townsend Engineering, manufacturers of food processing machines. Besides Townsend Engineering, architects Wexler and Urrutia were the first tenants to have an office in the north building (below). Townsend Engineering occupied the south building (second image below). A residence was supposedly created in the south building as lodging for the pilot of the office park’s owner. Ken Kendall was an architect based in Iowa and designed mainly commercial projects. In fact, Kendall is known to have only designed three residences, one of which was for the owner of One Hawkeye Park.
