A SCHOOL’S OUT, HOLIDAYS ARE IN While full-time students at Edinburgh College of Art are enjoying a holiday, students of a different kind are welcomed for the annual summer school. This years programme runs from August 7 to 25 and offers a choice of nine courses, including life drawing and portraiture, printmaking, photography, and bronze casting. But its not all hard work. The programme leaves time for visits to artists studios, private collections and public art galleries, plus trips to historic houses and gardens. And if that isnt enough to tempt you, the many and varied events of the famous Fringe Festival are close at hand. For full details, call 0131-221 6111.
